FAQ

It has been the general agreement for many years now that individuals must come in for a check-up every six months. That will fluctuate though depending upon the health and wellness of your teeth. Some people with impressive cleaning and flossing practices may not have to come in as often, and some people may need to come in far more often.

Due to dental x-ray technology we can see the health of your teeth and gum tissues internally. These types of x-rays enable us to see the inside of your teeth which serves to help us evaluate precisely what form of dental treatment you need. That being said, children typically need more routine x-rays as their teeth are more compact and it is easier to get cavities in between their tiny teeth, but it is valuable for everyone.

This is commonly carried out by a dental hygienist just before seeing the dentist and is the process of scaling, debriding as well as polishing your teeth. Several different tools are employed during the course of a professional cleaning to loosen and eliminate oral plaque buildup build-up and allow the hygienist to reach and clean spots you are not able to accomplish at home. It is not a painful process at all and will leave your teeth feeling amazing.
