Because of dental x-ray innovation we can easily see the health of your teeth and gum tissues internally. These x-rays make it possible for us to observe the inside of your oral cavity which helps us assess specifically what form of dental care you need. That being said, young children typically need more regular x-rays as their teeth are smaller sized and it is easier to get tooth cavities around their little teeth, but it is valuable for all ages.

This is usually performed by a dental hygienist before seeing the dentist and is the method of scaling, debriding and polishing your teeth. A variety of different tools are used during the course of a professional cleaning to loosen and eliminate cavity enducing plaque build-up and allow the hygienist to get to and clear places you are not able to do at home.
