FAQ

It has been the general agreement for decades now that people need to get a check-up every six months. That will change though depending upon the overall health of your mouth. Some folks with exceptional brushing and flossing habits may not need to come in as regularly, and some people might have to come in much more regularly.

Because of dental x-ray innovation we can see the overall health of your teeth and gums internally. These kinds of x-rays allow us to view the inside of your oral cavity which really helps us assess precisely what form of dental services you need. That being said, kids often need more frequent x-rays as their teeth are much smaller and it is easier to get tooth cavities in between their small teeth, but it is helpful for everyone.

This is commonly performed by a dental hygienist just before seeing the dentist and is the technique of scaling, debriding and polishing the teeth. Many different instruments are utilized during a professional cleaning to loosen up and clear away oral plaque buildup build-up and allow the hygienist to reach and clear areas you are unable to accomplish at home. It is not an unpleasant procedure in any way and will leave your mouth feeling superb.

This is a lot like getting recommendations from people you already know, but it offers the main benefit of getting more feedback from past clients.
