FAQ

It has been the general opinion for years now that folks must come in for an examination every six months. This will vary though depending upon the overall health of your mouth. Some folks with outstanding cleaning and flossing behaviors may not have to come in as regularly, and others may have to come in a lot more often.

Due to dental x-ray innovation we are able to see the overall health of your teeth and gum tissues internally. These x-rays allow us to see the inside of your mouth which really helps us examine specifically what sort of dental treatment you need. That being said, little ones usually need more routine x-rays as their teeth are smaller sized and it is much easier to get tooth cavities between their very little teeth, but it is helpful for everyone.

This is normally carried out by a dental hygienist before seeing the dentist and is the process of scaling, debriding and polishing the teeth. A variety of different tools are employed throughout a professional cleaning to loosen and remove plaque build-up and make it possible for the hygienist to reach and clean areas you are unable to do at home. It is not an unpleasant procedure at all and will certainly leave your teeth feeling great.
